The charcoal canister is the black cylindrical object in the middle of the photo - there's a cranked pipe connection coming out of the bottom which takes a rubber hose which you can see the other end of to the right of the headlamp actuator (directly above the wiring loom) connecting to a short length of cranked metal piping which is bracketed off the metalwork beneath. There is then another rubber tube connected to the other end of this cranked pipe which is routed downwards and passes under a flexible plastic shield...
... before continuing rearwards and connecting into ...
... metalwork (I presume part of the "chassis") above the concertina gaiter of the offside steering assembly as shown below:
